We perform comprehensive reviews of electrical systems to determine any weak points. We are qualified to design the most simple circuit additions to complete new build and custom room designs.

In the end we provide direction on the best way possible to route, prep and land conductors and electrical distribution equipment.
Other electrician's configurations of wire management/makeup are perfectly acceptable and code legal. They do not however stand up to the scrutiny our process entails that is based upon precision usage of the most basic fundamentals of electrical current flow. It all matters. The baseline shift can be subtle to dramatic. But unlike filters, cords and fancy audiophile branded products, the end result is always a better, more unrestricted, stable delivery of electrons to do their work. In both directions. RF noise does shed to ground when hyper attention to detail is practiced. It wants to go somewhere. If all attention is focused towards your gear and not your infrastructure, where do you think the least path of resistance for RF will be. I say your equipment. Not the service distribution and ground feeding it if built to a lesser standard.

Ordinary wiremen do not consider detail to RF management as it does not disturb toasters or blenders. It doesn't really bother lights. It does impact video and computer processing power. Optimizing your infrastructure does improve upon the ability of a semiconductor chip to operate at its highest designed levels. You know, the heart of your computer, modem, router and TV.

The Process:

The first step is an evaluation. I have begun to charge for an initial consultation. I am here to help. Many times I can tell a fellow audiophile, what they have in place is sufficient for the system they are powering. I don’t push anyone to make changes. Sometimes changes to the infrastructure are unlikely to make any noticeable impact on overall performance. In these cases, I am asking for $150 to access my 27 years experience as a licensed electrician. I have overseen design for 40 plus systems. Continued feedback and relationships with clients has helped grow my understanding of where the largest gains are to be had. Close enough can many times be good enough. No additional work necessary.

Projects that can benefit from additional changes are priced according to scope.

In order to achieve the highest level of performance out of your electrical infrastructure, you must apply materials in a very precise manner. We have developed very specific techniques to route, land and terminate materials. We find it's critical to not only utilize the materials we specify, but to apply them with strict adherence to installation guidelines. In order to enable the installer to meet these guidelines we provide the following:

Drawing: A visual one line of the overall project. This is an important piece for subcontractors to understand the scope and put together a proposal for work. The drawing will detail specific items such as wire size and length of runs. But again it's an overview. It's a way to visually see the whole of the work to be done to more easily get everyone on the same page

Specifications: Very detailed directions on what to use and how to install it. I will call out brands and types of wire, panelboards, pipe and wire, boxes etc. I will provide links to the exact materials to utilize.

Photographs: Images of how the connections called for in the specifications should look. If the completed work does not look like the photograph, the electrician did not install it correctly.

Phone Consultation: I also like to engage in a 3 way email/text with the electrician, owner such as yourself and myself. This way specifics can be openly worked out. Details such as what the local authority having jurisdiction in your area will allow when projects are performed that require inspection.

These projects can evolve. If a whole project can not be completed at one time, I will note the most significant locations for gain and break out pricing.

Upcoming

In the future, a book similar to a For Dummies will be published to allow the casual homeowner to assess their own infrastructure.  This book can be used to guide a contractor alone, or in conjunction with additional support from Kingrex Electric.
